Tree Planting along 15th Street

April 2nd, 2010

Mayor Chris Beutler, along with the Progressive Student Coalition, Stronger Safer Neighborhoods, and McPhee Elementary will be planting 4 trees on G St., between 16^th and Goodhue, and one tree on F St. Students from all ages will have an opportunity to learn more about tree planting, including what equipment is used, how deep the tree needs to go, and the planting and staking process. Students will also have the opportunity to place trees in pre-dug holes and help pack in the soil around them.
