Mission Statement

The Lincoln Earth Day Coalition began out of the need for a uniform planning committee for the City of Lincoln’s yearly Earth Day event. Through the vision of the previous Lincoln Earth Day planning committees, the Lincoln Earth Day Coalition was born. By combining an effort of service, activities, lecture, environmental education, entertainment, athletics, and community involvement, the Lincoln Earth Day Coalition strives to reach an entire community, rather than a conscious niche within Lincoln. While this is a substantial task, it is one that we are eager to achieve, in an attempt at showing the Great Plains that Lincoln would like to be its Green Capital.
